Rain has come to Seattle. It’s finally here. Non-stop drizzle, not enough to get you wet, but enough to be annoying, slowly seeping into everything. You can try to hide from it, but it’ll get in. Cold, and damp, it leaves you feeling miserable.
It’s gray outside. There’s milky goop covering the sky. It’s endless and textureless. What little light comes in is just as flat and bland as the sky it comes from.
For a brief moment, the sun sometimes burns through the mist. Its scattered rays reflect and refract on every wet surface, lighting up the surroundings with a gentle glow. The world is alive again.
But only for a moment.
